One year ago, first Marmo party in town. Thirty three years ago, its man behind was born. Time to celebrate…
Hailing from Sao Paolo Brazil, The Edge Club residents Ale Reis (aka Nomumbah / Dubshape) and Renee Mussi (aka Idee) are presenting Stekke, their new studio project for their forthcoming vinyl label, Sketches, for which they are currently preparing an album.
The duo will be adventuring into a 4hrs dj journey landing on varied dance territories, proving a highly eclectic selection, ranging from early house, Detroit techno and NY garage, heavily inspired by dub, folk and IDM sounds.
Ale Reis, considered a heavyweight of Brazilian underground scene, reached world-wide recognition through his records as Dubshape and Nomumbah for Kompakt, Yoruba, Strictly Rhythm and Soul Jazz. Following the steps of his mentor Ale, Renee has emerged as very talented and versatile disc jockey, prized in 2012 by RMC Festival (Rio Music Conference) as best Brazilian Dj.
In the bill also the Marmo home heroes Nikolaos Symeonidis aka Moire Patterns and Rufus.
Moire Patterns recently presented his “Homeless House” live concept at Propaganda Moscow with devastating and euphoric effects on the crowd. For the occasion he will perform a enriched live set, armed with bass guitar, his beloved SH-101 Yamaha synthesizer and a drum machine.
Rufus has been coming from a pretty hectic studio time, shaping the new project Nightdrivers together with fellow Mass Prod, backing house and techno burners which will first see the light this autumn on a full 12″ on Bosconi Records.
Busy also his recent dj schedule, amazingly rocking Watergate opening for Jerome Sydenham and later this month at Propaganda in Moscow.

Niccolo`Daniel Rufo, better known as Rufus, is a forward-thinker, 360° vinyl collector and technically impeccable DJ of guaranteed striking effect on dance-floors.
After moving to Berlin in 2013, beside collaborating as A&R advisor for Bosconi Records, he has widened his production perspectives and approaches, first as part of Tru West for Marmo Music (along with Mass Prod and Herve Corti) and as Nightdrivers together with Mass Prod in the field of big room house and techno. Nightdrivers Nightvisions EP and Nightlights EP, as much as the duo`s debut EP on Bosconi, have left the mark and a distinctive sound signature, a unique blend of house and techno, well known and played by the likes of Daniel Bell, Ricardo Villalobos, Zip, Raresh, Secretsundaze, Barbara Preisinger, Omar S and Cab Drivers, among others.
As in 2015, Rufus returned after 5 years from his first “Like A Virgin EP” with a solo Ep on Bosconi (‘Black N’ Blues’) , further own productions on Bosconi with another EP in 2016 on Bosconi named “Stranger In Paradise” featuring a remix by Herva, on the lyonnese label Basse Resolution with “Wildflowers EP”, for the Lumbago label including a remix of his own track “Conseguenza” by berliner house dons Cab Drivers and more Nightdrivers jams planned to see the light on Holic Trax and Tenax from February 2017 onwards.
Behind the decks, Rufus brings to the floor a musicality and eclecticism that reflect his vast music culture, from funky and jazzy vibes, deep and jackin house, breaks, disco and all those stripped-down grooves and viibes influenced by the sounds of London, Chicago and Detroit. His dj portfolio of appearances includes Panorama Bar, Watergate, Propaganda Moscow, Circoloco at Detroit`s DEMF, Melt London, Tresor Berlin, Tenax Florenz to name a few.
His restless research into both old school and the fresher forms of dance music have inspired many Italian artists gravitating around Bosconi Records circuit and the Florence scene. His talent scouting and artistic ideas for Bosconi are behind some of the most important label’s releases, as Oliverwho Factory, Altered Natives, Ricardo Miranda, Dj Nature and Rondenion.
